Simply Swallowtail

Today I've been stamping and playing around with the Stampin' Up! Swallowtail stamp, I have to say I absolutely love it! Being a fan of butterflies anyway, it doesn't take much but this stamp is huge and there are so many things you can do with it. I've posted a few cards in previous days using this stamp ( take a peak at the labels tab to find them).

I stamped and heat embossed the swallowtail stamp, daubered the colour on rather than colouring in, I seriously cannot colour in! Daubering is also good because I find the colours blend better.

Using two right wing embossed images, I created this butterfly in flight effect.

I used the friendship sentiment from the From My Heart Stamp set.
Hope you like, go get making!

Wings and Sparkle!

Hello again. Hope you are all well and good!
This morning I would like to share with you some simple but pretty tags and a few Thank You cards I made last night.
I made the tags to go on some goody bags with the Notable Alphabet Stamp Set in Pool Party and Real Red ink on Crumb Cake Cardstock, I tied them on the bags with some scraps of ribbon.

These are the Thank You Notelets I made using a mix of Pool Party and Real Red papers and cardstock. I love the colour combination of these, very striking yet pretty. I finished them off with a spritz of Champagne Mist.

And this is a little tag I made up using the left overs from making the cards, just for fun. I can see now that I forgot to add pearls to the center of the butterflies, oops!  Better get off here and go finish it off!!

Have a great day, whatever you are up to.
hugs

Mannequin and Roses

Happy Bank Holiday Monday! The shining, the sky is blue and we're off to a kids activity farm today, after a bit a painting in our hallway. I need hubby to do the stairwell so that I can crack on with the rest of it later this week!

Anyway, I'm here this morning to show you a card I demo'ed at a recent workshop. I love the dress up framelits dies, they remind me of those paper dolls I used to play with as a kid. You know the type

I love cutting dresses from different papers and cutting and adapting them to suit my mood, or the recipients occasion!

Here's what I demonstrated for the ladies at the workshop

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day

Rain or Shine, That's the Ticket!

Hi everybody, hope you are enjoying the bank holiday weekend, whatever you are up to. I have a full day today, painting our hallway with a textured glitter effect in the morning,  my parents are coming over for dinner (which I have to find time to cook!)  and bringing with them a craft cupboard they stumbled across in one of their treasure trove shops.

Mean while I wanted to share this little card with you all. I've used the Sunshine and Sprinkles Designer Series Paper as a base and Rain or Shine Stamp Set. I love the umbrellas in this set, they are so adorable!

When you open up the card, it's a matchbook type,  inside there is a little note card for the sentiment. I've stamped and punched some tickets using That's The Ticket Stamp Set and the Ticket Punch.
